Born and raised with three sisters on a farm in Michigan, I grew to desire to become a teacher – like my father. I received my B.A. in Elementary Education from Concordia Teacher’s College, River Forest, Illinois, taught grades one to four in a two- room- schoolhouse in Southern MN, and moved to Niagara Falls, NY where I taught first grade and school music. I took some graduate classes in Special Ed from Buffalo State, sub taught in the public schools, taught Kindergarten at a Christian school, and Art and Music in three parochial schools. I opened His Care Day Care in 1998, received a vision for “Whole Life Academy” and earned an MBA from Medaille College, Buffalo. Now, along with my day care, I teach pre-school five days a week. As the children grow, so will the academy. I’m excited about developing Whole Life Academy, and even as it grows, His Care Day Care will always be an integral part of it, for that’s where it all begins!
